-Minimum age for participation is 5 years old
-Participants between the ages of 5 and 11 must ride in a tandem kayak with a parent/guardian

-Experience is not necessary!
-We provide in-depth kayak and safety instruction demonstrations at the beginning of all trips and tours.

-Trips may be canceled due to hazardous weather conditions
-In the event of a trip cancellation, refunds or opportunities to reschedule will be offered

-A note on Assateague's famous mosquitoes; We rarely have mosquito issues. The mosquito population can reach incredible numbers on Assateague, however mosquitoes prefer shaded areas and cannot fly in winds over 5 mph. Therefore, we have very little problem when we are on the water. Multiday backcountry trips are a different beast because we stay in shaded, protected areas, aka: great mosquito habitat. This is why these trips only run certain times of the year and mosquito masks are strongly recommended for certain months. Mosquitoes are a very important part of Assateague's ecosystem. -All participants are required to sign an Assumption of Risk/Liability Waiver
-All participants are required to wear an approved Type III Personal Flotation Devices
(we provide these or you may bring your own)

-Detailed driving directions will be included in your itinerary.
